Tyla Wells, Co-founder

Tyla is an accomplished educator, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Mudpies & Butterflies, Schoolhouse Montessori Academies and Schoolhouse Services and Staffing. Tyla is a leader in the PK – 3rd grade school movement by providing quality early education to children in their formative years. Since 1996, her public school management company, Schoolhouse Services and Staffing, has provided turn-key educational services, staffing, and facilities to charter schools in southeast Michigan. Tyla knows what it takes to build a thriving school community, and she is dedicated to helping every school utilize Mudpies & Butterflies to reach their full potential.

Devin Jones, Co-founder & Product Manager

Devin comes from a family of educators and has worked for Montessori schools in the Detroit metro area for many years. His strong commitment to cutting-edge initiatives benefit kids, families, teachers, and school administrators. Prior to joining Mudpies & Butterflies, Devin was a corporate resident in Global Consumer Insights for Hasbro Toys where he conducted market research for Playskool brands such as Mr. Potato Head, Glowworm, Play-Doh, and many more. Devin enhances the vision for Mudpies and Butterflies with this entrepreneurial spirit while also playing a key role in facilitating all Mudpies operations. He holds an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston, and a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan.
